Overview
Multi-floor mapping allows your robot vacuum to store separate maps for different floors of your home. Instead of re-mapping every time you move the robot to another floor, it automatically recognizes which floor it's on and loads the correct map with all your customized settings.
Why It Matters for Indian Homes
Many Indian homes have 2-3 floors. Without multi-floor mapping, the robot would need to re-learn the layout every time you carry it upstairs or downstairs. With this feature, all your zone settings, no-go areas, and room-specific cleaning preferences are preserved for each floor.
How It Works
The robot stores multiple map files in its memory. When placed on a new floor, it performs a quick localization scan to match its surroundings against stored maps. If it recognizes the environment, it loads the matching map. If not, it offers to create a new map. Most models support 3-5 map storage.
